Climate sensitive classroom in a container

The Galapagos are a group of islands located 1000 km from the coast of Ecuador. Some of the islands are uninhabited, however in the largest island called Isabela, a small town has developed: Puerto Villamil, place chosen to carry out this investigation.
The design of this transportable classroom, responds to a lightweight construction type:
- Elevated to encourage airflow under floors and low thermal mass materials were selected on light colours.
- Facing the South, leaving the largest facades less exposed to sunrise and sunset lighting.
- Cross-ventilation is possible through windows located on opposite sides with openings facing up-wind (from South-east).
- Green-roof and roof fans ventilate the space while they remove stale air.
