The Nestl Chair is a culmination of a year long adventure in materials exploration. Inspired by the East Asian Swiflet bird, whom constructs its nest from grass and saliva, the chair attempts to mimic this process. Through use of shredded paper hand mixed with special epoxies, the casting material is then placed into a fiberglass mold to cure. This is an inital installment of the work and more is to follow.
