This is a sustainable solution to designing theurban bus stop. The idea is that these modular "lamps" provide shade,and light to the street edge, they can be fabricated to fit thecontext, via color and size. They use photovoltaic panels to provideenergy to power the light source and offer drainage right to the groundvia the vertical central axis.
My site is located in Downtown Elgin, Illinois, off of spring street. Although these modular "lamps" were designed for the location on Spring Street, they are not site specific, and can be adapted to fit any city.
