Over a year ago my dearest friend left for a one year journey to Japan. To celebrate his upcoming adventure we went on a trip to our most favorite forest, where he proudly told me about an award he received as a child for his performance as the best wanderer in class.

I created this illustration to remind him of the happy-go-lucky days when school trips were the most joyful happenings and to honor his more recent accomplishment.
