Defining an iconic place.
For more than 138 years it’s been the home of the Royal Queensland Show, affectionately known as the EKKA. It was the place where Don Bradman made his test debut and it has been the venue for iconic rock bands from around the world. Now the Brisbane Showgrounds and the sprawling yards and pavilions surrounding it have been reborn. It is now the epicentre of a historic regeneration.
The King Street precinct forms the vibrant heart of the AUD$2.9 billion Brisbane Showgrounds Regeneration Project – one of Australia’s largest urban regeneration projects. DAIS were engaged to define the place articulation strategy, develop the brand positioning language and design the accompanying visual identity system.
