King of Spades is a personal project. A combination of traditional pencil and watercolor and digital for final touch.

 

Why Deer?
Some use deer as god of "life" and "spirit". and base on my research King od Spades  is one of the three Fixed Cards in the Cards of Life and resides in the Crown Line of both Master Scripts (Spirit and Life).

And its also inspired from "Deer god" of Studio Ghibli Princess Mononoke.

I used the antlers for the crown and negativespace of the Spade. ♠️
