Summer, more than any other season invites us to go out our homes and enjoy the city, it’s parks, waterways, all external places. It also invites us to be delighted by the sun, to take a ride, to breathe differently.
Copenhagen is well known as one of the cities which has more bike lovers in the world. One can imagine what it is like during summer. People crossing over the bridges, walking around, biking from one place to another carry their happines on their faces whereever they may stamp their bicycles’ wheels as they move along.
Inspired by them, by the summer, this pleasant season that involves the Harbour Festival, allying sport and culture, using the vehicle as an artistic and cultural medium... from the tire of a bicycle I made my brush. The analogical meets the digital and side by side they become something new. It is just like saying that the festival’s visitors passed by and helped us to create this poster leaving their bicycles’ wheels marks on it.
That is how it comes to life. A poster that reveals the season’s joy, the variety of cultures and people who are mixed up, overlapped, who meet and mutually enrich each other at Kulturhavn.
This is my entry to the Festival's Poster Competition, which I am very pleased with, although unfortunately it was unsucessfull.
