Personal Design Manifesto: - Process Books

Part 02 of the Specialist Ways Of Working Unit, the manifesto project involved developing our own opinions and decisions about design. A written manifesto alongside a poster which would aesthetically represent my beliefs about design was required. In this project I was able to find myself as a designer, what I enjoy most of all and how I approach it. With an enthusiasm towards Illustration and creativity, I wanted to capture the creative process behind any forms of design to show the importance of creativity and how one idea can be achieved and the methods used behind it. To demonstrate this I studied my own creative process and created an illustrative graphic which represents stages of this process and highlighted the importance of each one. My personal manifesto also features on the final poster.

To document this process I hand-made two research books using the perfect bound book binding technique. I created one main process book in which my research and idea developments were gathered, and another to further explain the reasoning behind my manifesto in order for one to engage with my creative process.
