Okobojo Cabin: NW wall window treatments

Window treatments for the North West wall
Client Needs: To create a soft but industrial loft feeling and frame the lake view of their cabin with some type of window treatments. They are on a budget for the entire space, but this side of the great room is a focal point.

Current Space: North West wall of the great room which is used for the kitchen, dining and living room. Basic patio door and large view picture window. 9+ ft ceilings that vault to 14.5'. One small dog and no children in the house, but frequent toddler visitors. Mr. likes to watch TV without the glare, but Mrs. enjoys the view as long as it's not heating the house too much in the summer. Windows face the summer sunset, which is great for the view, but not for the AC bill. Outside the patio door is a covered deck space.

Notes: Owners are open to painting the window trim darker. They don't wish to have any window treatments on the kitchen sink window.
Concept
Create a function window solution that doesn't take away from the view, but also adds a softness to the space.
Recommendations
To avoid adding expensive new windows with mullions to get the "loft" look, we are going to use mirrors in a smiliar style on the top of the window and patio door. We'll "frame" them with the same trim on the windows so it looks cohesive. We'll also install mylar roller shades on the window and patio door. These will allow for heat and glare protection AND privacy while keeping the view unobstructed. The reflection on the other side of the shades will camoflage those watching through the window and prevent animals from getting spooked away. Overtop of the mirrors and windows, we'll install iron curtain rods that will hang white curtains for softness and added light reduction when needed.

To do: Paint the window trim with a gloss or semi-gloss warm-black paint to give the illusion of metal. Recover extra trim to use around the mirrors.
EAGAN MULTIPANEL MIRROR - Need to take final measurements, but will need 4 of the x-small size.

PB ESSENTIAL DRAPE ROD in Cast Iron. Will need one Large and one X-Large.
Wallace White Curtain Panel - will need four 52"x108"
