Digital New Year's poster “The nature of time”

Time passes by, not to be captured. We must be especially aware of the passage of time at the moment that we ring in the new year. An expression of time as a constant flow that can never be captured would be a translation of its very nature—. This poster will never reach completion. Making a digital mix of a poster that started off as something fully formed and complete by adding technology creates something that disappears at the moment that it is being produced. Just as the new year remains full of possibilities with nothing yet taking form, this poster is reminiscent of the blank space where the nature of time = freedom.

時は過ぎ去り、捉えることは出来ない。特に新年を迎える瞬間、人は時の移り変わりを意識するのではないだろうか。通常、捉えることの出来ない時を流れるままに表現すれば、時間の性格を写し取れるのではないか——。このポスターは完成することはない。本来、形成され、完成されたモノという性格を持つポスターに、デジタル技術をミックスすることによって生成されては消えるポスターを目指した。それは新年がまだ可能性に満たされて何も形成されていない様に、このポスターは時の性格＝自由という余白を彷彿とさせる。
