Megan No.2 12" x 16" Oil on canvas
At the beginning of 2015 I finished my first oil painting using walnut oil as a substitute for white spirit and turpintine. 'Meg' was completed only just in time, and was a challenging piece from start to finish. Four paintings later, and after using walnut oil on all my works, I decided to repaint 'Meg' from scratch, thinking I might be able to make a better job of it second time around.
Walnut oil and oil paint, is now my medium of choice, and I would encourage anyone working with oil paints to experiment with it.
