I had to create a logo for my sister, who is a translator specializing in films, TV shows and animated films. She is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, and needed both English and Ukrainian versions for all her branding. She needed a business card and a resume the most, so that's where I started developing her visual identity.

The logo is based on her initials, and includes punctuation often used in movie scripts, subtitles and timecodes.

The font is a sans-serif alternative of Courier which is a standard for scripts. Since she specializes in film translations and is a serious film, TV and entertainment geek, this worked well. Color palette just clicked - I tried different versions of subdued and bold colors, and the sky blue was her and my favourite right away. It suits her personality - she is a very kind, calming and patient person.
These are the first drafts of the business cards - I tried my initial colors, and then explored other layouts and color schemes.
After she picked the layout, I tried the color scheme variations again. The blue/gray was the winner.
Final stationery collateral, with a resume.
Thanks for looking!
