Cooper Selling Tool

Designing a digital pitch
Working for the UX team at Capella University, I was asked to lead the design of an app for their Alliances Sales force. The main goal for the project is to build a digital sales tool that the reps can either carry on a digital tablet to handle on personal pitches, or use from a desktop computer while on a remote conference over webex. I first held a series of very enlightening discovery interviews with some of the subject matter experts followed by a few sessions of shadowing sales force personnel during their normal work day to learn from them and gain better understanding of their work needs and limitations. This led to the development of a series of task-lists and schematics that helped the team define scope as well as final interaction design of the final product.
