I turned this bowl out of Silver Maple.  The wood has some nice tiger striping in it with some pretty grain as well.  I turned the bowl over two stages.  The first was the rough turning of it while the wood was green.  After the wood dried over a period of 6 months, I did a final turning.  I finished with 3 coats of spray lacquer.
