Website Redesign

Out With The Old...
Upon my hire, I noticed a major front-facing and revenue-contigent issue that quickly became my first priority: our horrendous website. Not only was it shamelessly emblazoned with an outdated logo and 5+ year-old photos (equivalent to a century in hotel years), but it also offered a subscription to an email newsletter that didn't exist. It didn't divert users to submit RFPs for meetings, conventions, and weddings - our leading profitmakers - nevertheless our useless subpages (see: News & Reviews).

Moreover, it wasn't mobile-responsive. This was concerning, especially for a hotel and e-commerce engine since optimizing for mobile has the propensity to: 1) Yield 50% more conversions, 2) Attract the 65% of travelers that make same-day reservations on a smartphone, and 3) Increase bookings from the millenials who make up a majority of our website traffic and tend to spend 20% more.
