Mzansi Magic's identity and brand strategy has evolved since its launch in 2010 andĀ the channel was given a complete refresh in 2014. Ā The new imagery had to be more relatable and welcomingĀ to a mass market audience while still maintaining a premier profile. Ā The everydayĀ landscapes of South Africa had to be shown in the new imagery -Ā places that viewers could connect withĀ and places that could reflect the environments where the shows from the channel take place. Ā A more immersive, 3D package was required in contrast to the fairly simple imagery Mzansi Magic started off with in 2010. Ā Also as a progression from the previous imagery with a simple typographic approach, the stars from the shows had to take centre stage now.
A full 3D 'Mzansi' world was created for this channel branding package. Ā The setups are all modular for easy updates, as well as offering many add-on possibilities.
