Wave Door Handle
Rapid Prototyping - SLS Nylon
Inspired by the strong but organic-looking lines of segmentation, we applied and developed it into the design.
The 'WAVE' door handle, is abstracted in form as departures from rolling waves with its harmonic continuous curving cycle, intertwine and reveals the 'WAVE' appearing as a seamlessly balanced organic body. The grasp is smooth and powerful, the form, in which curved edges are contrasted with vertical lines and horizontal profiles.
Contrasting forms comprise the pieces of latticed Aluminium-alloy strips from a subset containing piece matching exactly the lower intersection and the upper bound.
Visually intriguing and constantly yet harmonically changing. The segmented piece attracts the eye blending at the same time in the context of the room.
