    Inspired by the brilliant art deco architect Ralph Thomas Walker who designed many of the telephone long-line buildings located around Lower Manhattan during the roaring twenties. Nearly every day I walk past the marvelous Western Union building on west broadway and am constantly inspired by the deco copper work wrapping the entire building. Often I will pop into the lobby and try to talk my way past the security guards to look at the elevator doors. Through its use of rhythm and pattern this typeface visually vibrates like many of the telegraph lines that lined the walls of this heavy building. This face is a direct reaction to those buildings and many of the art deco brilliance that gleams across Gotham and its skyline. Read Less
