DEBBAS is an actual family owned store, located in downtown Amman, Jordan.
I was mesmerized by the history and story behind DEBBAS, and wanted customers to get a glimpse of DEBBAS's journey through the years. So I decided to make coasters as my promotional item, including a little text at the back of each coaster, that gives a bit of insight on DEBBAS's story.
The text written at the back is the following:
"Debbas’s journey began in Jaffa, Palestine in the year 1948. Unfortunately, that was the year the occupation began. So Debbas found a new home in the heart of Amman, Jordan. We managed to salvage some buttons from Jaffa that we still have till this very day, and your coaster has a picture of one of them"
My slogan for the AD Campaign was "كل زر إلو حكاية" which in english, means "Every button has a story"
The reason I chose it was because of the fascination I had with the old buttons they had
The subjects for my AD Campaign were old Palestinian women, as DEBBAS originated in Jaffa, Palestine 1948
