MEDYA - Quartz digital signage

AN EXCITING WEATHER VISUALISER
Dynamic internet-connected module with many graphical nuances triggered by the weather conditions.
Depends on Wunderground API.
The webcam image is tinted according to current temperature, and a condition graphic overlaid portrays the current condition.
Different webcams are switched between, depending on the current temperature. Webcams can be swapped out for static images or even videos.

The optional 'Sunset mode' automatically disables the tint and switches to a set webcam for the sunset period, in this case a local beach is chosen.
The optional Lightning mode displays a show of strikes at a set interval
The information is automatically pulled every 5 minutes (customisable) from Wunderground and falls back on the last recieved forecast data in the event of a lost connection.

A custom solution employing a live feed of Channel 7 in the place of the webcam is being developed currently to enhance Weatherman for a waiting room.
A LIVE NEWSFEED
Dynamic internet-connected module with a subtle 3D background and support for up to 4 different news feeds.
Depends on Reuters XML.
AN ATTRACTIVE MESSAGE BOARD

Sliding transition shown here along with blurred background features and logo accents.
-------------------
Medya runs on Quartz Viewer in Mac OS X and is very lightweight. All of the graphics (with the excpetion of photographs or webcams) were created by myself, and are preliminary. I used Apple Quartz Composer and basic PHP for this project.
