Lorax Mimobot

Mimobot / USB flash drive design-challenge – 2009
Woozle and Lorax were first created in the Fall of 1997 by me and my friend Bryan Rountree, At the ages of 12 and 13 (while attending 7th grade at the Albuquerque Academy) we began illustrating a comic strip telling the story of two little aliens who crash-landed their space cruiser in Roswell, New Mexico. Shortly after wondering into a sci-fi convention and being mistaken for little boys by a used car salesman W&L began their cross-country adventure quickly blending in with and being absorbed into American pop-culture. Ironically the "two little boys" have never been recognized as aliens...

Woozle und Lorax was published in the Albuquerque Academy school newspaper The Advocate for 5 years, winning numerous awards and developing a middle and highschool fan base of like-minded nerds.

This particular rendition of Lorax was illustrated for the Mimobot USB flash drive design challenge at infectious.com – Lorax received a total 203 votes, out of which 80% of voters gave the design the highest rating. At the end of the voting period the Lorax mimobot had the second highest score. Unfortunately the final winning designs were decided upon by a panel of judges and Lorax was never produced.
