Exhibition: 3 interactive installations at Le CUBE
Between September and October 2015, "Le Cube" presented three interactive installations by the young French artist and designer Bertrand Lanthiez. A recent graduate of the ESAG Penninghen school in Paris, Bertrand Lanthiez' work is focused on creating multi-sensorial, visual, sound and touch installations.

Three interactive Installations:

65°-75°
We Are Narcissus  with Chloe Curé
HVÍSL - Whispers Of Iceland with Chloe Curé

His explorations are nourished by his travels, reconstructing the atmospheres of the many places he has visited. He likes subverting materials from their original purpose, playing with formats and tools, which he always chooses according to the meaning he wants to give his creations. In his installations, he finds an exchange and a dialogue with an audience, whom he encourages to be not only spectators, but also ever-ready players in their own experience.

He worked with Chloe Curé, colleague and fellow student, to deliver We are Narcisses and Hvisl at the crossroad between installations, graphic design and literature.

An interactive journey to the Northern lights

Between the latitudes 65° and 75° North lie the territories of the Auroral Zone, where you can admire the famous Northern Lights
.

65°- 75° is an interactive installation that reconstructs the experience of a treasure hunt, a collection of "captured" Northern Lights, at the end of a two-week expedition in this northern desert. In this multi-sensorial experience, visitors are invited to take the paths of this exploratory journey in turn through a random hunt of these Northern Lights…

We are Narcisses

The anti-selfie mirror (with Chloé Curé)

Like the Wicked Queen in the Grimms' fairy tale, we expect the mirror to reflect the image we wish to have of ourselves. But the answer is found more in our eyes than in the reflection.

What if we, too, invented a living mirror that reacted and lived?

We are Narcisses is an interactive project that transposes the myth of Ovid's Narcissus using a mirror, water and an infrabass loudspeaker.

The more users become lost in the contemplation of their own image, the less they see themselves…
