This project was based on "Delight in Light" competition for "Industrial Design" in my second year at University of Derby.

 

The product had to be an interior light intended for domestic or light commercial use.

 

I did research of what people might want to see in their interior. After generating few designs, I have presented my idea to people with the most interest.

 

Inspired by nature, I have chosen a monkey nut as primary shape for my lampshade. It has multiple stripes, shaped in to a nut shape, fixed around its core with two light bulbs. One bulb is for direct natural light, an the other is for coloured lighting to create relaxing mood.

Every fender is made out of reflective/mirror plastic, and soft touch cover of corresponding colour.
