The Naked Bike Ride celebrates "the freedom from oil and the beauty of people." The participants ride 15 miles to raise awareness and manifest their concerns about environmental issues and body image. Each year around 1500 cyclists throughout Midwest travel to Chicago to join the event along with skaters and joggers. The bare-as-you-dare dress code declares the beauty and individuality of bodies, which might influence the future of ecologically responsible means of communication–only natural and people-powered transportation will guarantee a sustainable future. To emphasize the location of the event, the poster references Chicago’s Bauhaus legacy.
