How to make your own polygonal self-portrait?
Start by taking a selfie or ask someone to do it for you. Some tutorials suggest to take the photo from an angel that gives as much sharp edges and shadows as possible, but in this project I decided to go head-on (pun intended).
Open the photograph in Adobe Illustrator and start drawing triangles. Get the right shades with the color picker as you go, and match those edges by activating smart guides and handles!
P.S. It is completely okay to use a few compromise rectangles here and there ;)
Remember the Pythagoras' theorem from algebra lessons?
Me neither, but it comes handy when making triangles to look like rectangles with different color shades :)
Thanks for checking my work out!
