The Devil, pinned up

This is a series of collages playing around with the general aesthetics of old pin up paintings, using the etchings of Gustave Dore and other found imagery to give them a dark and humerous twist.

Abaddon - In certain Biblical texts the name Abaddon refers to an angel, sometimes even the Devil, and translates into the Destroyer.

Tyger - Named after the poem by William Blake,  who's poem speaks of the beauty and ferousity of the tiger.

Baphomet - Also known as The Goat of Mendes, this is the name of the goat headed diety first appearing in the times of the Templars.

Karras - The young priest in the exorcist, Father Damien Karras, was also a Jesuit psychiatrist.
