For this project, we developed concepts for a wall mounted unit, a ground charger, and a standing unit so that electric cars could charge via induction.  My main roles were to analyze the form of the designs for manufacturability, select manufacturing process, develop opening and closure mechanisms, create exploded views, and complete renders.

 

I did multiple rounds of quick sketches to explore and evaluate different techniques for opening, closing, sliding, and locking.  I then evaluated the techniques to determine how they would affect part break-up and molding techniques before modifying SolidWorks files and creating the renders.
