For our final Design Studio 1 assignment in the fall of sophomore year graphic design we were asked to design a video answering the question: "How can a minute be defined by the designer and clearly understood by the viewing audience?"

We recieved this prompt in the weeks following the racial violence on the Mizzou campus and the attacks in Paris and elsewhere around the world. I was frustrated with discussions and conversations I had been hearing about the concept and validity of online solidarity. I used this assignment as a way of defining online solidarity for myself in the hopes of inspiring other people to see that true solidarity takes more than a minute.
