The Art of Tea: An Introductory Kit is a rigid packaging construction that houses all of the essential items a novice tea drinker would need to become familiar with the different tastes and textures associated with different teas. The kit includes six different types of quality tea, two different ways to steep your tea, two different types of artisanal honey, and one honey dripper.

 

The kit itself utilizes a traditional Japanese pattern that is manipulated and transformed throughout the box to create a different experience for each of the different surfaces and drawers that are interacted with. It also dictates the polka dot shapes in either drawers on the sides of the kit and the shapes and trimmings of the different labels of the items. Each of the items in this kit are housed inside wells and when they are removed, a fun fact about the item is revealed in the well below. 

 

Unique icons were created for each of the labels and the typefaces utilizes straight and warped treatment to add movement and variety throughout the kit.
