The task given in my Typography class was about redesigning the book of Walter Benjamin
– The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction.
The difficulty was to deal with the given footnotes by placing them on the same page as the content text. Furthermore the content pages had to be designed in only black and white.
I chose a book size of 160x240mm. The used typeface is Circular by Laurenz Brunner.
The prints are made with a laserprinter and a risograph.
Each pair of the 6 books is printed on a different cover paper with a different color.
