Our first design workshop for my Masters in Architecture and Conservation involved an underground chapel in Bormla, Malta.
Facade - paint work following light path, with a canopy following the same direction.
View of bar and stairs from the internal yard.
Internal yard converted to a seating area, with a shading device to provide privacy from neighbors, as well as continue allowing air to ventilate the underground chapel.
View of the bar and passage leading to the spiral staircase.
View of the entrance; Information desk with stairs leading down to the bar.
Underground chapel converted to a multisensory space - using a projector and tracklighting to enhance and experience of the space.
