The concept for Drake’s Studio was rhythm and a study of light. The studio is a place of reflection where the hip-hop artist Drake can find inspiration to write his music. The studio doubles as a place for private shows on the second floor balcony/stage.
The light and rhythm study was done through the application of lattice, skylights and glass floors. Beneath the building is a pond where the natural or articficial light is reflected and distorted which then enters the studio through the glass floor areas creating limitless patterns up focal point walls that stretch two stories.
