In winter 2011 I took a course from Toshiko McAdam. I learned basic textile techniques such as knitting, crocheting, lace making, and felting. Throughout my time at NSCAD I have been constantly between textiles and metals. I found it very difficult to choose which path to take. My decision to go in the direction of metal work seemed to make the most sense, but whenever I can I integrate some of the textile skills learned into my work. Most currently, my body of work is an attempt to successfully bring the two practices together.
