Audio Design Project

For this presentation I used Garage Band to create an audio presentation. The story I used was the Grimm Brother's "Red Ridding Hood". The intended audience was for age groups 4 and beyond. I recorded myself in Garage Band several different times in order to come up with the best recording of the story. I also had to record myself in different character voices as well.

To record myself I used a lavalier microphone and my computer. I also had a sound proof padded room that I was able to record my audio track in. After the recordings, I listen to them to see which one was the best and I used bits and pieces from the several different takes. While telling the story I used character voices for the three characters in the story. After I got the vocal track that I wanted I put them into GarageBand and edited sound effects and music to complete the project.
Below is the GarageBand file that I used for the reading of Little Red Riding Hood. I had to label each track such as sound effects and music. Each track I had to make sure it was leveled which is what the green and yellow lines were for. The vocal track as you can see is split into two which means I took two different vocal tracks and combined them to make a complete story. After finding the correct vocal tracks needed, I then played it back so I can choose where to put the sound effects and music so that the story would be complete.
