Long distance driving experience
India has one the biggest road network in the world. Every day huge amount of goods and people are getting transferred through this amazing connectivity of roads.
But the harsh truth with each timely delivery of any goods we are using there is an accident which occurs on these highways. Behind these timely delivery of goods their lies a number of truck drivers and their life’s .they risk their life’s and risk lives of other people on these highways to get these goods delivered. This segment has not being touched upon. The government and the major stakeholders in this system have given a blind eye to this problem.
On further research by our team members we found that the condition of these truck drivers and the trucks they are driving are in the worse condition than we thought.it starts from overloading of trucks to the spreading of HIV and to the harsh driving experience the drivers and facing. To earn profit the stakeholders put extreme pressure on the drivers plus the trucks are not that well designed to give proper driving conditions for the drivers. Government have made rules but only to keep a check on the goods which are getting transferred. Many NGOs are stepping in to check upon the post damage done by this problem.
Each day someone dies on these roads and some truck driver is getting blamed upon. We as a team is looking upon the driving experience of the truck driver and trying to intervene through design.
