This screen porch in San Antonio, Texas gives new life to an old space. The structure of an existing cedar trellis was preserved and skinned in a new layer of cedar, screen, and steel. An ample sliding door allows the space to feel both connected to and protected from the outside world. A western overhang offers shade from the afternoon sun. Together, new and old cedar provide a shady poolside respite.
