Super 8 is the combination of both a video rental service and a youth club. In this digital age video rental is dying out, everything is available online and we're losing the fun part of movies, enjoying them together. The project's name was inspired by an analog film format from the seventies. Super 8 is also an old beer brand.
We want to put our focus on the social aspect of a youth club and bring people together through film. Super 8 is a place where young people can meet, rent movies and participate in activities and events.
The brand identity is based on a low-budget and straightforward system and requires a DIY attitude. Using B/W A4 prints and graffiti cans we create a strong, recognizable and striking identity. The vertical color radiation represents an exposed film photo and provides a analog quick-and-dirty feeling.
