This efx shot was done for a promo for sportv (brazilian sports tv network). The concept was that the brazilian cup was the biggest club tournament in the world. So why not promote it using a giant soccer ball thrashing rio de janeiro! We filmed it in downtown rio de janeiro using a sony HDCAM. The first thing after shooting was matchmoving using voodoo camera tracker and at the same time caio braga was modeling the soccerball modelling and initial shading. Later i did rotoscoping, compositing and color correction in After effects and shader tweaking and lighting using vray and 3dsmax.
