In September 2015, Athol Fugard's "The Island" premiered in Shanghai Culture Square, KFS Container Theater. "The Island" was part of the World Theater Masters Series - Athol Fugard, and it was produced by Wencong Chen, and directed by UK director Shahzad A. Jan. The set is designed by desginer/architect/installation artist Shaw Xu, and light design by Yilun He, and sound design by Jing Yin. Philip Baofo (Ghana) played Winston, Greg Carew (South Africa) played John.
