Diane Arbus was born on March 14,1923, in New York City and died on July 26, 1971. In 1941, she married Allan Arbus, an American actor who fostered her artistic talent by teaching her photography, they had two daughters named Doon and Amy. Most of Diane's family was doing something dealing with photography. She attended the Fieldston School for Ethical Culture, a prep school. She became famous for the street photgrapher that she took, her photographs were unique from the rest.
 
Diane Arbus was one of the most distinctive photographers of the 20th century, known for her eerie portraits and off-beat subjects. Her artistic talents emerged at a young age, having created interesting drawings and paintings while in high school. She became the first American photographer to have photographs displayed at the Venice Biennale. She commited suicide, after this all her work became even more famous, eventhough her death was a tragic.
