Outbreak zombie attraction

I wanted to make the Outbreak poster for 2015 more chilling than last year’s design, which had featured the theme park location heavily in the artwork. This year's material had to step away from that and provoke more fear. The main challenge was a lack of high quality photography from last year’s event. I looked through the pics that had been uploaded to the Facebook page for inspiration.

I came across the pic above that I really liked. It lacked the image quality for a large poster so I decided to try and generate a similar, atmospheric scene in Photoshop.
The images that I found on iStock above were a good starting point. Both images were too bright for the look I had envisaged though.
By darkening the corridor image significantly, zooming in and adding a light source, I left space for the zombie to dominate. I darkened him, added shadows and made his eyes glow to complete the creepy, claustrophobic image.
T-shirt designs were created and graphics for social media
For the Photoshop composition above, I included people running scared with large cut-out holes where their heads used to be. It was printed on a large-format board. Participants used this to take photos after the event and upload to social media.
