Final Major Project: Purple Wine Guide

This is the project that I have done for my Final Major Assessment at University. This project's brief let us choose to do whatever we wanted and show our best skills. As I consider myself being best at illustration and hand made designs, I choose to design and illustrate a book.
'Purple Wine Guide' is a book about wine. I intended to make it very simple, yet interesting, keeping only the key information and making it easy to understand. I chose to avoid anything that is usually related to wine: red color, pictures of wine bottle and fancy words. Instead I have tried to take different approach and look for other wine related symbols and colors. This is why I have used 'purple' as synonym for grapes. The gold foil details used relate to the royal side of the wine, which in the very beginnings was only a beverage of the kings.
To illustrate the information I have made my illustrations in very simplistic and flat style, so the book looks playful and simple yet still informative and interesting.
Together with the book, there are three map posters for the top three wine producing countries: France, Spain and Italy.
The set of posters carries a key information about each countries wine specification and infographics.
