My contribution for the Hop for Hope fundraising art project! The 1.2m tall fibreglass kangaroo (now named “Jill”) patiently sat in my kitchen for almost a month while I painted, detailed and varnished her coat. I recorded a complete timelapse of my process (below) and some photos I’ve taken of the finished paint job.
Hop for Hope is a collaborative art exhibition showcasing 40 larger-than-life fibreglass kangaroos decorated by iconic Australian artists and identities. The kangaroos were exhibited at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery for two months before being auctioned to raise funds for the Alannah and Madeline Foundation- a charity raising funds to project children from violence and bullying.
