15th June 2013, was a epic day for me, I had set me off from 3x3 desk corporate job happily for a marathon task to finish and 24th Nov 2013 was the day where I could finish without much issues.
And that marathon task was to do a solo cycling across India self supported. This trip took me to 22 states of India. Trip was set without any target of finish date, but every trip has a end date and it took me 6 months of time roaming around and spending night in different beds and experiencing different pillows. yes I could really understand means of travel after getting home and put my head on known pillow and familiar mattress.
I earned a lot during this trip not in terms of money but in terms of friends across India, created memories which can’t be deleted any day.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” If possible, I will set one more such trip to experience words from Mark Twain. I sure places will changed but warm hearted people and welcome will be same.
I always use word “trip” as journey is still going on, once journey is over there is nothing much to say.
24ht Nov 2015 was 2nd anniversary, I didn’t do much special to celebration and I must say journey is still on and every moment and day I’m celebrating this journey which I set unknowingly two and half years back. Hope to continue as long as I can.
There are few names, who inspired me and always support my madness and still supporting. But before that I’m very much thankful to my parents to understand me and encourage me for such craziness without a 2nd thought.
