To generate excitement and increase downloads, we launched the first Krystal app with an augmented reality technology that allowed consumers to scan our hamburger box with their phone and see a 3-d penguin magically appear to dance before them. It was a hit. We had more than 44,000 downloads in 3 months, outperforming even McDonald's at the time.
