    After our first introduction it was clear that WoodSmithe and HCR were a good fit and with a deep love for our community we were excited HCR was setting up shop in the neighborhood. We started by developing a new material palette to enhance their graphic branding platform.  Using these materials we re-imagined the layout keeping walls and other obstructions to a minimum and cleanly defining the necessary spaces. The wall facades, furniture, and signage were committed to the same cause enhanced by small subtle details, one of Handsome's many strengths.  Our goal in designing the experience of the Roastery was to expose the whole process of making coffee from it's arrival in the Arts District, to roasting, and finally being served.
