I did an advertising campaign for Kunjanimation as part of a student project in 2014. The extent of the project was to create a concept and apply it to A2 posters, roller banners, packaging, Facbeook and Twitter, notepads and stationary, stickers, a DVD and a brochure.
Kunjanimation form a part of Animation South Africa, and in 2015 they rebranded to IAFF (International Animation Film Festival). This festival takes place in South Africa each year. Workshops, Q&A sessions, Films and readings are presented to the public, students in the field and anyone interested in animation.
Kunjanimation, under the umbrella of animation, has a fun and welcoming ring to it. I based my concept on keywords I identified in the brief: Fun, Colourful and Inviting. I spent a few days creating little characters that make up the elements used in this campaign.
For the posters I took the first letters and made them up with the characters. I identified three key colours and a vertical line to use throughout the design.

I designed a brochure for when the screenings of awars-winning movies are being shown, as well as contact information should the reader require any additional information.
The DVD hosts talks, workshop information, information and a message from the sponsors and the Top 10 animations of the year. The cover has big letters spelling out "Animation". I cut out some of the letters and printed a pattern on the disc. Thus, when the disc is in the cover the pattern is not disturbed. When you take the DVD out of the cover some of the letters are cut out.
