This project added sidewalk in two separate locations along Walton Park Road In Midlothian, Virginia.The first was along the west side of Walton Park Road from Queensgate Road to Dawnridge Court / CoralView Road. The second was along the east side of Walton Park Lane from Walton Park Road 400 feet northward. The image below displays these locations.

This project linked two previously constructed sidewalk projects on the same road to provide a continuous sidewalk between Queensgate Road and North Woolridge Road. At the two locations shown above where sidewalk was constructed, curb and gutter was also added and the existing road surface was milled and then overlayed with new pavement.

My contributions to this project were strictly in hydraulic design. Since we were adding curb and gutter to a road that had a ditch, special care was needed to make sure our project would not leave standing water in resident's yards. Curb inlets were proposed which captured the water which was making its way into the roadside ditch.
