John Lewis wants to reinvent the packaging used to deliver online
purchases. The packaging needs to reflect the emotional link
between the customers and package, and give them the same level
of excitement and engagement that they would feel if they gone to a
John Lewis store.
The main issue is that there are no John Lewis stores in the
Gulf Region, requiring the packages be delivered from London to Saudi
Arabia. A second issue is that all packages are opened and reclosed
going through Saudi customs. So the package is designed for one
package to be inserted inside another outer package to protect it during
delivery and customs. 
 
The concept of this package is to be multi-functional and made of
sustainable materials that can be reused, and comes with a personalization.
The package will combine multiple elements in one package. Because
most customers order more than one item when making purchases online.
The inner package can be reused as a drawer and can be personalized it as
you like. Each customer will a stamp with their name or a single letter, so they
can decorate and personalize the package.
