Sofiendalskolen

This project was made in collaboration with Sofiendalskolen in Aalborg and its pupils. The purpose was to create a solution for them to sign up for Lektiecafé through an easier mean than the physical process they normally do, and to create value for the pupils to participate.

The project was made by me and three other participants.

My contribution in this project was mainly with the project managementresearch to gather knowledge, the synthesis of the knowledge to the idea as well as the user experience design with information architecture and flowcharts. Every project member, however, had an insight in every process of the project.

There is no functioning prototype for this project
The team identified the pupils by the Value Proposition Canvas in order to understand the pains and gains they have and how the value proposition can ease them
There had to be a clear understanding on how the solution should be visually communicating to the target group. As such, I outlined, through the research, the main factors that would affect the concept for a more likely reception by the target group.

"Rewarding effort promotes self-governance" became the message
Having undergone project management, heavy research on the subject and identified the target group, our team could venture in the design phase of the solution where ideation took place, and content and functions were specified.
Information architecture became crucial as the pupils would have to go through a lot of information to get to where they needed to be. As such, it was important to organize the information the best way possible for them.
To make sure that the users would be able to perform their tasks and the functionalities would respond accordingly, I underwent a flowchart to make sure that there would be no wall to hit as they use the platform
The knowledge and synthesis, as with the user experience design had culminated into these wireframes, created by Alexandru Modol from the project group.

With the wireframes, I prepared a task scenario usability testing where I made the wireframes interactive to be tested. Hereafter, I was testing the prototype on 9 pupils from the school, and the results were positive in the experience, but of course needed adjustments looking at their performance to complete the tasks.
With the results of the usability testing, Alex made some adjustments and created these mock-ups for the presentation at the evaluation.
